I'm a bit leery of installing this DNG Converter update because it says it's only compatible with Photoshop CC. The only thing I can think of that makes any sense here is that Adobe now only provides Camera Raw updates through Adobe Photoshop of Photoshop Elements. It's puzzling that MacUpdate would leave this misleading naming problem unresolved for so long. There is no explanation on Adobe's web site, that I can find, of this issue, not any recent download link for the actual Camera Raw plug-in. Once you click the download link you get a dmg image file called DNGConverter - and that's all it contains - I checked it with Pacifist. The last few versions of what is called Adobe Camera Raw on MacUpdate contain only the latest DNG Converter, not the latest Camera Raw files or plug-in.

Filter: When you are done using the Camera Raw Filter in Photoshop, Camera raw will use the GPU to render the result.Open: When you are done editing and click the Open button to move to Photoshop, Camera Raw will use the GPU to render the main image opened. This is a batch processing operation that works on more than one photo at a time. Save: Using GPU for Save accelerates rendering for JPEG, TIFF, Photoshop, and PNG files.Using the custom option, select Use GPU for Open and Save to enable For supported GPUs, accelerated Open and Save is enabled automatically by default with the Auto setting for the Use Graphics Processor option in the Camera Raw Preferences. For supported GPUs, see the recommended GPU specifications for full acceleration in Camera Raw. GPU acceleration now speeds up save, open, and the Camera Raw filter.
